Exploring Shepard’s Core Values
By Steve Basch, Shepard CEO
Around this time of year, I always find myself thinking about what I’m most grateful for. This season, I’m thinking about the impact of opportunity and second chances. A year ago, I can honestly say I wasn’t sure where we would be as an industry or nation, but our path to recovery is bright and for that, I am incredibly grateful.
To be able to say that Shepard Event Services has been able to help bring events back to life is an absolute honor. I have been so fortunate to collaborate with so many incredible team members, clients, and other members of this resilient community, as we have navigated this journey together. And for that, I thank you. We owe the future of events to all of you.
As we prepare for 2022, Shepard is committed to our investment in the success of each event and every client. If our clients aren’t successful, neither are we. We take the time to understand your business and create an event that far exceeds your expectations. To do this, we embody six core principles.
Our focus is on acting as a team. By prioritizing communication internally and externally, everyone knows where they can contribute to the success of our business- and that’s making sure our clients are being cared for every step of the way.
With everything we do, we are proud of our reputation as being a trusted partner in the events industry. We make it a top priority to deliver on our promises.
One of the reasons we have stayed in business for 100 years is because of our passion and dedication to the events industry. We love what we do because you love what you do and we are committed to making your vision a reality.
With a nationwide network of Shepard team members and digital resources at our fingertips, there is no problem we can’t solve. We understand that peace of mind comes with an appropriate sense of urgency, which is why we work so hard to ensure timely and efficient communication, whenever you need us.
Our passion and dedication to the events industry and its ever-evolving technology and trends are what has kept us going for over 100 years … and will continue to for many years to come.
For more than 100 years, Shepard has operated on a culture of service—service to our customers, each other, and the communities in which we work and live. Shepard GO (Giving Outwardly) is our philanthropic program that serves as a foundational component of who we are. As Shepard expands, adding new customers, colleagues, and communities, we are extending Shepard GO by enlisting the help of families, friends, and industry peers.
This year, at IAEE’s Expo! Expo!, we are thrilled to be kicking off our partnership with Soles4Souls, an organization that provides relief and support to those in need.
People living in poverty want a better life – they want to put their skills to work and provide food and shelter for themselves and their families. At Soles4Souls, they turn unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunities, by keeping items from going to waste and putting them to good use – providing relief for those in need, while giving them access to the services and resources to help rebuild their lives.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Your next step can help someone take theirs…
Heading to Expo! Expo! December 7-9? Then, we invite you to visit us at booth #738 and tell us how you plan to move forward in this new era for events in 2022 and beyond. By sharing your success tips with our community, you will be helping make a contribution to Soles4Souls and be entered to win a pair of one-of-a-kind celebrity artist-designed shoes.
